Zambia Tomorrow, Inc. is established for charitable and education purposes. It will strive to raise funds for Macha Innovative Christian School (M.I.C.S.), an elementary school located in Macha, Zambia (Africa). MICS was started in 2006 through the hard work and guidance of Gil and Ronda Krause. They were assisted by numerous hard working and generous people. They have also received assistance from CBN’s Orphans Promise (a US based 501(c)3) that has helped with the costs of building and furnishing the boarding home facilities.
There are many costs involved in running MICS and the boarding home. As the school grows and expands, these costs will continue to increase. Zambia Tomorrow, Inc. will raise funds and collect donations of items that will assist MICS in providing a quality education for local children and orphans of the region.
The funds that are raised will come from individual donations, corporate donations, grants and charity events. These events will be organized by members of the board and carried out at various times throughout the year. These activities and events will take place in churches, schools and communities across the country. The activities and events will raise funds to help MICS continue to operate and expand Zambia Tomorrow will also attempt to assist with the costs of boarding and schooling for some of the orphan children.
We plan to organize a variety of events such as (but not limited to) silent auctions, buy a brick campaign, charity dinners, walkathons, running race fundraisers, softball tournaments, scavenger hunt fundraisers, school supply/clothing drives, baseball outings and celebrity bowling events.
The needs in Macha, Zambia are extremely great. Education opportunities are limited to non-existent for the children and orphans of the area. The goal of Zambia Tomorrow, Inc. is to ensure that MICS will be able to continue to operate and expand. With this realization, the children of Macha will be offered an education opportunity that would not otherwise be available.
